Krakeel River is named after the river of the same name. Krakeel is Dutch for 'quarrel', and it is said that the name of the river refers to the 'quarrel' between the Krakeel River and its tributary, the Apple River, during times of flood. (GPS coordinates: 33.8159 S, 23.7322 E).
